Phyrflie blinked a few times, "Why is that?"

"Ah, fun" Arid said with mock disdain. "Well you won't find much of that on this Mountain I am afraid." Arid said as he continued toward the garden. It was just over the next hill.
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Phyrflie cocked her head to the side in acceptance of that fact, "Most of us are. But I see no reason to be so stern all the time when I don't have to be in the Underdark anymore. Since I've been on the surface, I have learned about a thing called 'fun' and I must say I rather enjoy it."

"Yes, though I had always thought of Drow as more serious minded creatures.." Arid sniffed.
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Phyrflie smiled, "Well, as you can see, I am a drow."
She gave a little bouncing bow as they walked. She was having more fun with this than she had thought.

"I get that alot. The main difference is that I do shave every so often and that I am much taller." Arid replied putting his hat back on.
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
"I see," said Phyrflie, "I've never met an assimar before," she added gleefully," I would have figured you for a half-elf...I have only seen a few and you most resemble one...though I did feel something was different about you..."

Arid doffed his hat."If you can't tell I am an Assiamar. I believe that my ancestor hailed from Boccob's plane. So I dedicated my life to the mage." Arid replied seeing her look of disinterest in religion.
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Phyrflie nodded as if she knew what he was talking about.
She really had never been one much for religion. After her life in the Underdark, she was DONE with religion.
Subconsciously she made the sign that she had been making for years: putting her right palm face up and curling her fingers inward, the sign of a dead spider and the ultimate insult to Lolth.

"Boccob the archmage." Arid replied as he made the holy sign with his hands.

"Monastery for what?" Phyrflie asked as she came up next to Arid and walked beside him.

Phyrflie pursed her lips as she watched him walk for a few paces, and then started following him again, "Your turn?" she asked, "Who exactly lives in that mountainside?"

Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Arid saw the Drow eying his farm equipment. "It is my turn to work on the garden." Arid shrugged setting off for the garden once again.
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Phyrflie shurgged, "Trying to get away from everyone and everything," she answered, watching him with his tools, "I'm not exactly a very popular person."
He didn't seem much the gardening type...
She hadn't been on the surface for very long, but she had already been able to observe farm work and gardening. This Arid fellow seemed much too flamboyant and almost posh to be the same down to earth looking people she saw hard at labor across the land.

Arid relaxed a little. "So what are you doing on the mountain? Not many people travel here." Arid stooped quickly to pick up his gardening tools.
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Phyrflie smiled a cheshire cat grin and shimmied her shoulders, "Oooh, so rough..." she stopped smiling, but still had a ferral glint to her vibrantly pink eyes and a smirk on her red lips, "Very well then, since you've been such a good sport so far...my name is Phyrflie Olath'Phreng of Svartlheim. A pleasure to meet you Arid Faircloak."

Arid dropped everything he was holding. "This is the last time I am going to ask. What do you want?" Arid was tired of getting toyed with.
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
"Wrong answer, you fail," Phyrflie said with a grin that was both cat like and stunning at once. It was becoming obvious that she was toying with him...

"Two things. First, Answer my question. Second, why do you need to know that?"
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Phyrflie smiled, "What's you're favorite color?" she asked.

"My name is Arid Faircloak." He said with an exaggerated tip of his hat. "and you" he asked with mock politeness.
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Phyrflie sighed is faux exasperation, "I'm unemployed," she said.
She stepped in front of him making him stop in his tracks. She looked at him for a long while until she felt him grow uncomfortable and then asked, "What is your name?"

Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Arid looked back at her. "I am a monk and a sorcerer. What about you?" He asked walking again.
Re: Boccob Monastery(open)
Phyrflie followed him, her magickal boots still silent on the ground, so Arid was a little surprised to hear her voice behind him once again, "Who are you?" she asked him, "You dress so oddly..."
Which wasn't saying much for her. She was wearing nothing more than a top that looked more like a brazier with low cut, formfitting leather trousers with knee high boots, and a black cloak with spider webs designs on it.
